What is common failure mode of DC contactor?

Dongke 2023-03-14 0 times

The common failure mode : contact burn (overheating) and contact melting welding (adhesion).。

Molten welding

Reason

Suggestion

1.Static welding

The contact position of the contact resistance is only caused by the heat of the contact resistance and the melting of the metal near them. The melting welding occurred in this case is called static welding. It mostly appears in a closed state with a fixed contact connection or contact force.

Check whether the system is overloaded for a long time or a short circuit occurs。

2.Dynamic welding

The contact vibration or contact is scolded by the electric power to generate an arc. The high temperature of the arc causes the metal melting and gasification of the contact surface and finally causes the contact to stick together. In this case, the melting welding is called dynamic welding. It mostly occurs during the closure of the contact, or the closed state with less contact force appears.

Check whether the system has a high impact current
